Ms. Samrith Kaur, managing partner at Gurdial Bakan Singh in Kuala Lumpur, enriches the Firm with her strong background in Corporate law.

Upon graduating from the University of Coventry, England, Samrith returned to Malaysia where she secured her Certificate of Legal Practice and Masters in Law from University of Malaya. Besides being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, she also serves as Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Malaysia Branch and is a Certified Mediator with the Bar Council, Malaysia.

She heads the Corporate Department of the Firm due to her vast experience in the field of corporate and commercial law which includes areas such as Agency, Joint Venture, Share Sale & Purchase, Leasing, Contractual documentation, and Employment documentation; gained from her previous in-house corporate counselling positions where her responsibilities included overseeing the legal administration of 13 separate entities.

Seeking a new challenge, Samrith was admitted to the West Malaysian Bar. She commenced practice with leading law firm Messrs. Sidek, Teoh, Wong & Dennis where her litigation portfolio included banking, commercial and corporate law, contractual disputes, company law, industrial relations and claims relating to negligence.
